There’s a moment in this pod with Erin from @arara There’s a moment in this pod with Erin from @araratwellness realising that the way she eats is highly sensory.

That there are safe foods.
Foods that feel okay sometimes.
And foods that, in the wrong moment, can feel completely overwhelming.

For so many of us, the message we’ve received around food has been:
change your mindset.
push through.
just be disciplined.

But what if wellbeing doesn’t start there?

What if it starts with safety.

This is such a powerful and honest part of the conversation.

Building internal alignment is mostly found in the Building internal alignment is mostly found in the moments that no one sees.

It's seen in the small spaces created for yourself.
The committment to rest when rest is required.

And the understanding it's all part of the whole.

Post inspired by my friend Mary @marypaz.espinozanunez who had been staying with me this week, took this video & who had been reflecting back to me the awe & gratitude in getting to see my process of self-care post-wananga.

Words from Hera Cotter from @Te_Whare_Whakaora "O Words from Hera Cotter from @Te_Whare_Whakaora

"Our beliefs our mindsets, our thoughts, our whakaaro, all of that is part of creating our reality. And at the same time, allowing our reality to unfold and realising that there is no right or wrong. There is no broken or fixed. There is simply the universe unfolding and if nothing's broken then nothing needs fixing. It just needs to remember the truth of itself." 🌸
There are many different views on Romiromi & Rongo There are many different views on Romiromi & Rongoā Māori, we speak on some of these nuances in this episode with Hera Cotter from @Te_Whare_Whakaora 🌸

Feelings & emotions work is real adult work. Unde Feelings & emotions work is real adult work.
Understanding our true emotions underneath the overwhelm is truly worthy work.
Understanding our emotions is work worth fighting for.
Understanding our emotions means we can see what our nervous systems habit is...
Then choose something

Knowing what we are feeling precisely means we can...
Communicate what we feel more precisely.
Bring clarity, rather than assumptions to relationships.

Being precise in our emotions takes away from cloudiness, uncertainty & means we are clear in our expressions.

Directness supports dignity clarity & completion. Directness supports dignity clarity & completion.

Working with present emotions in the moment, honouring healing from the past that can interrupt self- expression & response.
