Heart Sharings

Frequently asked questions: Aroha days

Thank you to all the people who are showing interest, it’s heart-warming to know that our events and days are reaching those who resonate.

I thought I would share a few of the questions and answers with everyone here!

Aroha day page

What impact will the session have on me?

I’m never 100% sure how practice will interact with you, yet people are encouraged to move, release, and receive in the way that feels most natural to them. We are working together, so you have full permission to move, adjust and trust the way your body shifts energy.

Please also know you’re always so fully in control and can share your needs to your practitioner and they will respond to the best of their ability. Yet I encourage you to be open to the experience.

Often in shared session space, things can be amplified, so it can be a beautiful opportunity to connect, share & heal in the capacity.

Here’s some information about Romiromi

How long does a session last?

Sessions do not have set times, yet last approx. 45-60 minutes.

Please come early & be patient if a session lasts longer.
You are encouraged to save some extra time to intregrate, sit on the grass and just be after your session too!

How much is a suggestion koha?

A session is by donation ~~ pay by your heart, what you’re capable and/or able to pay with your heart & capacity. We often say a suggested amount for those who appreciate guidance is $50-$100 (sessions with me are usually $280, just for a guide), yet your practitioner will likely still be learning!

The proceeds go towards supporting our practitioners with their different community endeavours!

Will I be able to communicate about injuries and/or things I’m not 100% sure about to my practitioner?

Yes! There’s an intake form you will fill in before your session and pleasure communicate with your practitioner that you’ve discussed this and will need to be able to make some adjustments.

I believe so deeply in us all using our voice as whai ora ~ clients and as practitioners, so please feel free to communicate your needs to your practitioner!

As your kaimahi ~ practitioner is still learning and it’s a learning space, they may come & find me if they are unsure or need guidance.

I see you in your pictures, you practice Mirimiri and Romiromi (meaning sometimes people take their clothes off) can I leave my clothes on?

You can most definitely leave your clothes on. Practitioners are used to doing both practices and weave as suits you. Draping is a core part of our training and your practitioner will ask you before you begin what suits you.

What is the room like?

The room is closed, but it is open-plan, meaning there will be other people receiving in the same space.

Room-wise, the space is at Bibra Lake Wetlands Centre, although there will be music playing and there may be noise as we practice in one space. I’ll flick through some videos after so you can see the space inside and out.

There’s a space outside to ground and I will likely be the one stewarding people, so I’ll make sure you’re with someone I think will be aligned.

Even though you aren’t taking bookings anymore, can I request a reminder?

Yes! I am sending reminders to those who request.

Dear Anger.

Dear Anger.   I shut you away when I was young, I saw the harm you caused expressed in the aura of others. Potent, unthinking. Desperate harmful unconsciousness.   I felt & still feel untethered when you’re around. Almost out of body. Present & unpresent at once. I still do when your presence arises in…

How did I find Romiromi?

People often ask me how I found Romiromi…   When I first found RomiRomi, or perhaps when RomiRomi found me… I never intended to practice it as a core part of my life. I went to the wananga because I was missing that Aotearoa way, the vibe & wairua that we intrinsically hold within us….
